Road trip lovers? The 12 km ride from Jibhi to Jalori Pass is thrilling yet beautiful!

My Personal Experience from Jibhi to Jalori Pass

The distance from Jibhi to Jalori Pass is about 12 km. I traveled in February, and the road was covered in snow and black ice. While riding my rental scooty, I faced some slippery spots on the way. The snow on both sides of the road made the journey breathtaking yet challenging.

We reached Jalori Pass at 10:30 AM, and the weather was extremely cold. My hands started freezing, and my nails even turned blue due to the temperature drop. To warm up, we lit a bonfire at Jalori Pass. After a short break, we continued our journey and trekked to Serolsar Lake.

Food Options at Jalori Pass

Jalori Pass has plenty of food stalls serving delicious local food. You can try:
✔ Seedu
✔ Momos
✔ Maggi
✔ Rajma Chawal
✔ Kadi Chawal

The rajma (kidney beans) they serve is homegrown, making it extra flavorful. If you’re visiting, I highly recommend having rajma chawal for breakfast or lunch—it’s fresh and full of authentic Himachali flavors!

4. Trekking to Serolsar Lake From Jalori Pass

The Jalori Pass to Serolsar Lake trek is around 5 km one way and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. While the trek is not extremely tough, some sections are challenging, especially if you’re not used to regular walking.

During my trek, the entire path was covered in snow, making it feel like a walk through heaven. Everywhere you look, it’s pure white, creating a surreal experience. If you love photography, this trek is a dream come true—every turn offers breathtaking views. A small temple dedicated to Budhi Nagin adds a spiritual touch as well.

Things to keep in mind:
No network connectivity throughout the trek, so inform someone before starting.
🍲 Food stalls are available near Serolsar Lake, so you can enjoy a warm meal once you reach.
Some sections are difficult, so I highly recommend taking a guide for a safe trek.

My Personal Experience for Salosar Lake:

Once I reached Serolsar Lake, I was completely shocked by its beauty. The entire lake was frozen, covered with a thick layer of snow, making it look surreal.
